I'm hard on you because I love you kid. I love all three of you girls and I am fortunate to be your dad because all three of you are great girls. I want you all to be smart, smarter than I. Sweet, sweeter than I. Tough, tougher than I. Kind, kinder than I. Independent, more independent than I. You three are what I am and in you three I can be better than I would be by myself. you three are why my heart beats.
You have earned that laptop because you are you. More than I could have asked for. More than I am. I love you and I am very fortunate that you are my daughter Megan. God could have given you to someone else to be their daughter but He graced me with the job of being your dad. You earned that laptop because you have a big heart and a big mind with lots of creativity. I am proud of you. For you are you and nobody else. As it should be.
